Colombo works for FOX 2 as an anchor on News 11 at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. He is the head of the Contact 2 Consumer Investigative Unit and a well-known consumer advocate. Before joining the station in April 2016, Colombo worked at KMOV-TV as a consumer investigative reporter and fill-in anchor.
Colombo has anchored breaking news coverage for some of the biggest topics in the region while working for Fox 2 and News 11. These include the local unrest that followed George Floyd’s death and the resignation of former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens in the summer of 2020.
He has shown his versatility as a reporter by reporting on the local effects of the Coronavirus outbreak, the 2018 campaign of U.S. Senator Josh Hawley, and the Stanley Cup run of the St. Louis Blues.
Colombo previously served as the host of KTVI’s “Post Scripts” current affairs program. He routinely fills in as the host of KTVI and KPLR’s political and community affairs programs.
Colombo spent four years at KMOV, where he excelled in a number of roles, before moving to KTVI/KPLR. Mike developed a reputation as a dependable and trustworthy spokesperson for St. Louis residents as a result of his reporting from the front lines in Ferguson during the turmoil that followed the shooting death of Mike Brown and the popularity of his “Call Colombo” franchise as a member of the News 4 Investigates team.

Mike is a very engaged member of the community when he is not working. He serves on the board of the Coaches vs. Cancer program of the American Cancer Society in St. Louis. Along with the St. Louis Crisis Nursery, he collaborates with the ACS’ Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
