Boyd took a plane across the nation to begin his journalism career two days after crossing the stage to get his graduation. Actually, writing for a San Diego newspaper was his first job. But, he quickly saw that he should have been on TV news.
Boyd has worked in newsrooms in seven states: Florida, Texas, Arkansas, California, New York, Utah, and Virginia. In 2013, Robert even taught adults and children in China for a whole year. He acknowledges that Florida is his home now that he is in the “Sunshine State.”
