Alleyne works for WFTS as a reporter for the ABC Action News team in the Tampa Bay area. She worked as a reporter/MMJ for Fox 4 News in Fort Myers, Florida, just a few hours away, prior to my transfer to Tampa Bay in September 2022.
Alleyne relocated to Waco, Texas, after graduating, where she worked for KXXV as a reporter, producer, and weekend anchor. One year later, in July 2016, she moved to Buffalo, NY, to work as a reporter for Spectrum News, trading in her cowboy boots and breakfast tacos for chicken wings and Bills games.
Alleyne was employed by Spectrum News (previously Time Warner Cable News) in Buffalo, New York, as a reporter and stand-in anchor. July 2016, July 2018, and July 2018. She covered numerous significant breaking news stories, including the Buffalo Bills, tornadoes, and snowstorms, including nationwide coverage with HLN.
Alleyne developed her skills to improvise under nonstop breaking news coverage, work under increasingly stringent deadlines, and build relationships within the community while performing her job there. Most importantly, though, her time in Buffalo served as further evidence of my dedication to and love for journalism.
