Ann was born to a father named Murphy Glenn Faulkner and a mother whose name is not known. Her father was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. As a kid, Ann was picked on at school because she was multiracial, given her American, Mexican, and Japanese roots.
Ann’s mother was part Mexican and Japanese and a devout member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Ann’s parents met in San Antonio, Texas. Her father died as she was turning 15. Her uncle, named Jesse Faulkner, took care of their family.
