Rivas works as a traffic and news anchor for Good Day Orlando on FOX 35 Orlando. She is on the air on weekdays from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Good Day Orlando. She came to Orlando after spending almost 5 years as a reporter and weekend anchor at NEWS10 ABC WTEN in Albany, New York.
During her time in Albany, Rivas extensively broadcast high-profile crime cases, state politics, and in-depth feature stories. She closely followed the sexual harassment allegations against former Governor Andrew Cuomo and covered the breaking news of his resignation.
Rivas worked as an ambassador with American Patriotic Services, a non-profit organization that provides transition programs and morale services for veterans, first responders, active-duty military, and their families. In this role, she went to military bases and hospitals across the globe and appeared on national morning shows.
Over the course of her career, Rivas has covered numerous veteran and military stories. She provided local perspectives at the end of the Afghanistan War and has been the host of in-depth roundtables with OEF/OIF veterans and Vietnam War veterans. She won the 2025 Seven Seals Award from the Department of Defense.
