During her career, Koeppen has provided coverage for significant events. For example, she was the first local reporter to arrive at the scene of the Flight 93 crash on September 11th in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. A nationally award-winning journalist, she has received multiple awards during her career, including three Gracie Allen Awards and nine Emmy Awards.
Before coming to WPXI, Koeppen served KDKA in Pittsburgh as a reporter and anchor at 4, 6, and 11 p.m. There, she mainly focused on big events and interviews. She also worked as a consumer correspondent for CBS News’ The Early Show. In this capacity, she specialized in consumer issues, especially consumer safety and investigations.
