Raymond serves as an anchor for WPXI Channel 11. Her aspiration to be a journalist started with her high school Moonbeams newspaper. All she wanted was to stay close to what mattered, which was her family in Pittsburgh.
Raymond’s career started after college, when she acquired a job in Winchester, Virginia, as a reporter. She then moved to Arkansas and Cleveland, Ohio, to work at Little Rock as a multimedia journalist. Furthermore, she worked at WTHR in Indianapolis as a reporter and anchor.
During her time in Indianapolis, she covered a story about a 17-year-old girl who died with Ewing’s Sarcoma. The girl told her parents to throw a “Party to Die For” instead of a funeral. For the story, she won the Lower Great Lakes Chapter Regional Emmy Award. The story was among the “A Ray of Sunshine” series, which she created because people don’t watch the news, as they perceive it as negative. Hence, she took this as an initiative to change the narrative.
