After graduating college, she started her career working for the CBS affiliate in Coos Bay, Oregon as an anchor and reporter. Next, she worked in Columbia, South Carolina, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Boston before coming to LA. In 2006, she helped debut KCAL’s Ventura County bureau. An advocate of reading, the Milwaukee Boys and Girls Club named her Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her contributions to an after-school reading initiative.
