In the Fairfax District in West Hollywood, Harris ran an all-female barbershop that catered to the LGBT population before she became an actor. The storefront shut its doors in 2019 after operating for six years due to an unexpected accident. Following the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Harris made the decision to focus only on acting.
In addition to managing the barbershop and working part-time, Harris’ first role was in the television series Two Sentence Horror Stories in 2017. She also performed commercial work during this period. Other early roles for Harris included appearances on This Is Us, Abbott Elementary, Good Girls, and The L Word: Generation Q in the television seasons of 2021 and 2022.
