Theatre

At first, Jumbo thought of undergoing teacher training in London before she settled on an acting career. In theatre, she appeared in Brixton Stories at the Lyric Theatre, Liquid Gold at the Almeida Theatre, and Love’s Labour’s Lost at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Moreover, she appeared in productions of The Crucible, Richard III, The Cherry Orchard, and The Caucasian Chalk Circle. Also, she appeared in the production of Pygmalion at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. For her performance, she received nominations for the MEN and Ian Charleson Award.

In 2012, Jumbo secured the Ian Charleson Award for her role in As You Like It at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. That same year, she played the role of Constance Neville in She Stoops to Conquer at the National Theatre and Mark Anthony in an all-female production Julius Caesar at the Donmar Warehouse. For her performance as Mark, she attained an Olivier Award nomination. She reprised the role during the play’s October 2012 revival in New York. The following year in May, she played the role of Nora Helmer in A Doll’s House at at the Royal Exchange Theatre. Jumbo performed in her debut play Josephine and I at the Bush Theatre, London in July and August 2013. A rising star in the firm, she now balances her work and a romantic tangle with US Attorney, Colin Morello.

During an interview with etonline.com, Jumbo expressed that departing from the film was a sentimental journey for her. Despite the emotions involved, she remained dedicated to portraying the character authentically. Additionally, she emphasized her desire to avoid unnecessary delays in the process, aiming for a positive resolution to the character’s story.
