Caballero works for KGW as a news reporter and weather forecaster. Prior to joining the channel, she worked as a news reporter for KRCR ABC 7. Caballero joined the team in July 2022.
Daisy spent a little over two years reporting and weather anchoring for KRCR in Redding, California, before moving to Portland. She covered the explosive Sherri Papini case there as well as other major national news events like the historic Dixie Fire.
For Daisy, Oregon is her home. She was reared in the small coastal community of Coos Bay, Oregon, where she also has two dogs named Kai and Louie. There, she enjoys going to the beach with her family and friends. She claims that moving to Portland has always been her ambition because she enjoys the urban atmosphere.
Daisy has always loved writing, but her passion for it truly blossomed in high school. She went to Marshfield High and, for three years, had her own morning chat show called The Morning Kazaam on the student-run radio station 91.3 FM.
She continued her education after receiving her diploma in 2016 and worked as the sideline sports reporter for the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Southwestern Oregon Community College.
