People frequently ask him why he chose to enter the news industry and to be really honest, he had always had this dream of playing baseball. He had never played before. He played baseball when he first entered college, but like many others, he eventually came to the conclusion that it wasn’t going to happen.

As he became older, he realized that presenting stories to large audiences seemed enjoyable and natural. He first only intended to cover sports, but he wanted to do that as well. Soon, he was reporting on news, sports, and just about any other kind of event you could think of.

He worked as a weekend news and sports anchor for KRON4 News for nine years prior to joining ABC7. He received an Emmy when he was there for my news anchoring. But getting to know the neighborhood in-depth was what he found most enjoyable. He met my Godson Jordan, who has altered his life and continues to do so now, at this period.

While working at KRON, he served as the anchor for our live coverage of the Ghost Ship warehouse fire, the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting, and the Asiana Airlines tragedy at SFO. He served as the host of the hour-long sports program Sports Night Live every Sunday. They would provide the highlights and then exchange opinions. He can still vividly recall having to wear a Notre Dame jersey on air after losing a friendly wager to a viewer.

He worked as a journalist in Florida, Oklahoma, and Arkansas before moving to the Bay Area. Stone covered the Casey Anthony case in Florida, and he has never witnessed anything crazier.

The most intense weather he’s ever experienced was in Oklahoma. He reported on ice storms, heat waves, flooding, and tornadoes there. He discovered how extraordinary people can be in Arkansas.
