Pertzborn works for FOX 2 as a co-anchor every Monday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. Pertzborn joined FOX 2 in September 1997. Prior to that, he worked as a feature reporter and the host of KSDK’s Show Me St. Louis from 1986 until 1997.
From 1991 through 1998, Pertzborn worked as a nationally syndicated feature reporter for the NBC News Channel. At WSAW-TV in Wausau, WI, WISC-TV in Madison, WI, and WIBA Radio in Madison, WI, Pertzborn also worked as an anchor reporter.
Pertzborn has received multiple broadcasting honors, including The Edward R. Murrow Award, two Illinois Press Awards, one SPJ Best Spot News Award, and four local Emmys. He started off contacting radio talk shows as a youngster.
Young Pertzborn was brought into the WKOW radio studio one summer night in 1972 by announcer Carl Ames to appear as a guest on his program, “Nite Line,” and that was only the beginning.
