She is also a retired theatre kid who reviews Broadway shows that come through town. She enjoys the challenge of forecasting every season in Colorado.
Before joining FOX31 KDVR, Bearse worked as a meteorologist at KUSA 9News in Denver, Colorado. There, she reported and produced the weekly series, “The Feed,” where she told food stories in Colorado. She also gave weather and science lessons for schools in the Front Range through the Meteorology school visit program, which she organized.
Bearse is an ardent hiker who founded “The Approachable Outdoors,” a hiking and outdoor adventure resource. Through the resource, she encourages people to explore Colorado regardless of their skill level. In addition to that, she advocates for mental health and openly blogs about her experiences.
Bearse’s career started at KIFI in Idaho Falls, where she worked as a morning and noon anchor. Furthermore, she filled in for the weather when needed and produced long-hour noon shows.
