Hubbard works as an evening news anchor for FOX31. In this role, he co-anchors the evening news at 5 p.m., 9 p.m., and 10 p.m. alongside Christine Noel. This is his second tenure with the station, as he previously served as a weekend anchor between 2004 and 2007. During his first stint at FOX31, he broadcast the battle over illegal immigration and went to the Mexican border to record the efforts of the controversial Minuteman Project to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the U.S. Additionally, he produced, wrote, and reported an award-winning documentary on the matter called Battle for the Border.

After three years of anchoring FOX31’s weekend newscasts, he left the station and joined ABC News, where he worked as a New York-based anchor and correspondent. During his time at ABC News, Hubbard co-anchored “World News Now” and “America This Morning,” ABC’s national early-morning newscasts. Furthermore, he reported nationwide and internationally on “Good Morning America,” “World News with Diane Sawyer,” and “Nightline.” Further, he covered politics, the economy, severe weather, and breaking news. In early 2025, he, alongside a group of veterans, visited Vietnam, documenting their return to mark the fall of Saigon and the end of the war’s 50th anniversary.
