They are women who accidentally became pregnant and befriended each other in the maternity ward. Ana was gang raped by her fellow classmates and was forced to silence by her father so as to avoid negative attention. Further, at the hospital, Ana’s baby was exchanged with Janis’ baby.
Janis does a DNA test which reveals that her daughter is not hers and that their babies were swapped. She hires Ana as a live-in maid to look after the house and Cecilia, Anna’s real child. The pair start a casual intimate relationship but it doesn’t last as Ana wants more from Janis. For her performance, Smit received a nomination for the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actress.
