Before moving to Pulaski, Hoover spent over a decade in broadcast journalism as an anchor, reporter, and producer. Recently, she worked as an assistant news director and anchor for the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts on WNKY News 40 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for 5 years.
