Though new to Wisconsin, he is familiar with the Midwest as he was born in Elgin, Illinois. While he wasn’t born in the region, he is now proud to call southeast Wisconsin home. He has a passion for storytelling across multiple platforms, and his love for news comes from a desire to understand people in the community around him better and connect with them.
Most recently, Jenkins spent three years as a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at WQAD-TV News 8 in Moline, Illinois. There, he provided coverage for the race leading up to the 2020 presidential election, the historic 2019 flood, and the 2018 gubernatorial race in Illinois. Before working on-air, he worked as a video editor and a digital content producer.
