Argier works as the chief meteorologist for KVVU FOX 5 Las Vegas. The Las Vegas native is excited to forecast the weather in his hometown. After finishing his undergraduate studies, he landed his initial on-air job at KMIR 6 News, the NBC affiliate serving Palm Springs, California. After reporting the news for KMIR, he had the chance to work with the team and has never looked back. He climbed the ladder through hard work until he was named chief meteorologist. Also, he returned to school for his Meteorology degree.
Argier worked in Palm Springs for 5 years before swapping the desert for the Evergreen State. In Washington, he served KIRO 7 News, the CBS affiliate in Seattle. He worked as a meteorologist and was eventually promoted to chief meteorologist. There, he provided coverage for some of Seattle’s biggest snowstorms, destructive windstorms, and a couple of flood events.
During his career, Argier has received several honors for his work, including seven Emmy® Awards and three Associated Press Awards. Moreover, he has the seals of approval from the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association.
