De Leon’s passion and versatility for weather and local news have led her to work in broadcast TV for over 15 years. She launched her career as the host of a variety entertainment TV show. Later, she transitioned to radio and news at KNVO in South Texas, where she worked from 2007 to 2011. There, she reported the weather in English and Spanish, including the broadcast of Hurricane Dolly in 2008.
Following her tenure in Texas, De Leon joined KUSA in Denver as a meteorologist. In this role, she delivered forecasts for the station’s weekday and weekend newscasts. There, she forecast severe weather, snowstorms, and wildfires. She holds the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association.
