Adams works as a meteorologist for WRGB CBS6. He is thrilled to be back in the north, since he gets the opportunity to snowboard again regularly during the wintertime. During the summer, he trades his snowboard for other wholesome activities such as wakeboarding and playing in competitive adult baseball leagues.
Before joining WRGB CBS6, Adams worked at stations in the southern and western U.S. as a broadcasting meteorologist for two decades. Most recently, he worked for both NBC and FOX in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Adams’ career started at WGME in Portland, Maine, which is also owned by the same company as WRGB. After leaving Portland, he moved to North Carolina and worked at a station in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Charlotte. Thereafter, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked for NBC for a decade, before working for the NBC affiliate station in the Santa Barbara – San Luis Obispo area in California’s Central Coast.
The American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association recognize Adams’ forecast and broadcast, which meet high standards for knowledge and understanding of weather. As a result, he earned the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation and the National Weather Association (NWA) television seal.
