Adams covered severe tornadoes, debilitating blizzards, ice storms, and significant hurricanes in Florida while he was living across the nation afterward.
Hurricane Irma made landfall in the neighborhood a week after he started working at ABC Action News. While the storm passed through, Adams was a key member of the on-air and digital teams. During his childhood, he remembers that when hurricanes in the Panhandle loomed, they were relocated to MacDill AFB from Tyndall AFB in Panama City. Thus, Tampa turned into one of his favorite places, and it was one of the numerous reasons he desired to make Tampa Bay his true home.
