In addition, she is often featured in NBC4’s public service announcements that help increase awareness of several causes in the area.
Magee has co-hosted NBC4’s “Celebrating Black Excellence,” a half-hour special in honor of Black History Month. The program looked into racial inequality in healthcare during COVID-19, the evolution of the civil rights movement in Los Angeles, and shed light on athletes who have advocated for the community in Southern California.
Before her tenure at NBC4, Magee worked as a weekend meteorologist for WPVI in Philadelphia for 11 years. There, she covered various weather conditions and guided viewers through severe conditions. She provided coverage on the 2009 Nor’easter, the biggest storm that year. She also provided coverage of the effects of Superstorm Sandy and its destruction on Philadelphia, Delaware, and New Jersey. In addition, she hosted a variety of entertainment and lifestyle shows while at the station.
Magee launched her news career as a reporter and weekend evening anchor at ABC affiliate KDUH in Nebraska in 2001. She then spent 4 years as a reporter, weekend anchor, and weather anchor at KBAK in Bakersfield, California. In 2006, she became a weather anchor at AccuWeather in State College, Pennsylvania. In 2008, she began working at WNYW, the New York FOX affiliate.
