Haygood has been with WBRC FOX6 since 1994, working as a sports reporter and anchor. Over time, he became one of the city’s most popular weekend sports anchors. In 2019, he started progressing into news and now helps with Good Day Alabama in the mornings while also anchoring WBRC 6 News at Noon.
He began his television career in Midland, Texas, at KMID-TV, where he worked as a reporter and weekend anchor. He then moved to Lubbock to serve as Sports Director before accepting an offer from WHOA-TV (now WNCF-TV) in Montgomery, Alabama, leaving his home state.
Haygood also enjoys creating profile stories about remarkable people for WBRC.com. In the fall, he has a blast co-hosting SIDELINE, WBRC’s high school football show on Friday nights. His passion for covering sports as a career grew from his lifelong love of the games themselves.
