His passion for the weather began when he was a child, with a desire to understand and convey information about how the weather works. Having been raised in the Midwest, he understands the significance of staying informed about the weather, particularly when it becomes severe and hazardous.
Throughout his career, Miller has moved from the Midwest to Charleston, South Carolina, and back to cover weather hazards such as hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, and flooding. The National Weather Association awarded him the broadcaster seal of approval. Furthermore, he has a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society.
