Good Day New York

On June 28, 2012, it was revealed that Dave Price would rejoin Rosanna Scotto as a co-anchor of Good Day New York beginning on July 2. According to a Newsday remark from him, “I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to rejoin Fox 5 and be a part of the ‘Good Day New York’ family once again.

Since Rosanna [Scotto] and I have been close friends for a very long time and since it’s difficult to obtain a table at Fresco, this would be quite beneficial. I’m eager to share all the news and information our viewers require with them each morning, as well as perhaps a few smiles and laughter. There are few things better than this. I’m eager to start.”

On January 24, 2013, Price unexpectedly departed the program and made an exit announcement after the broadcast. Despite conflicting reports on the cause of his departure, all reports concur that he asked to be released from his contract.

Some reports stated that he will be transferred to the 4:30–7 AM newscast, where former Good Day anchor Greg Kelly would be reinstated when his brief stint as evening news anchor came to an end. Price objected to the change and wanted to be released from his contract.
