He has now covered Seminole athletics since the 2014 season and has been a mainstay on the FSU team. Prior to being hired as the newest sports and news reporter in June 2018, he was a regular online and on the radio, expanding his coverage to include Florida A&M, Valdosta State, Tallahassee Community College, and the massive prep sports scene in our region.

Kelly claims that the diversity of topics to be covered in our region is his favorite aspect of his current responsibilities. Every day delivers something fresh, unique, and interesting, from motocross in Cairo to football games including the Seminoles, Rattlers, and Blazers.

Kelly frequently contributes to some of WCTV’s biggest stories, both in front of and behind the camera, in addition to his sports coverage. He helped in the field with coverage of both Hurricane Michael and the Tallahassee Hot Yoga shootings.

Kelly, a native of North Florida, is a passionate follower of his local Jacksonville Jaguars. He spends his free time watching movies or spending time with his two nieces when he’s not out in Great Bend and South Georgia looking for the next great thing.
