Fuller works for FOX 2 as a weather reporter. He taught meteorology at University College (the evening program of Washington University) and St. Louis Community College in Wildwood before joining News 11 in October 2008 as Chief Meteorologist. Before joining the station, Fuller worked as a chief meteorologist for KPLR News 11 in St. Louis.
June of 1983 saw the arrival of John Fuller in St. Louis. Although he has been around for a while, John claims that “just when he thinks he has the St. Louis area weather figured out, a new wrinkle appears, like the 2012 drought or the spring 2013 tornadoes. As meteorologists, we must adapt to the always-changing weather.
As an air pollution meteorologist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Air Quality Division, Fuller held his first position in the industry. Later, he began working as the weekend weatherman for Lansing’s WJIM TV 6.
John moved to St. Louis to work for KSDK-TV after leaving Lansing, where he received the American Meteorological Society’s Seal of Approval. During his time at KSDK, he also won the regional Emmy Award for Best Weathercaster.
He particularly enjoys visiting 300 nearby schools to impart his expertise and enthusiasm for meteorology.
